Our Journey
Leatherworld Upholstery Sdn. Bhd. was founded in the 1980s by our founder, Mr. Jordan Eu. What began as a leather and upholstered furniture manufacturing business has grown into an international supplier with over 50 years of experience.
Over the years, we have built a strong reputation as a trusted manufacturer of sofas, beds, and upholstered furniture. In 2015, we expanded our operations into a larger factory to support growing demand and increase our production capacity.
We specialise in designing and manufacturing sofas, beds, and accent chairs through our complete in house production system. This allows us to respond quickly to market trends while maintaining consistent product quality.
At Leatherworld, our focus has always been clear. We aim to deliver the right balance of quality, design, and value for our business partners through reliable manufacturing and carefully selected materials.
Jordan Eu started his own business, offering services across a wide range of upholstery-related fields, including cushion sewing, sofa repair, and custom upholstery work.
As the business gradually grew and Jordan accumulated more experience, he began designing his own furniture products and marketing them to local retailers and wholesalers, including Courts Malaysia. During this period, the company also started exporting products to neighbouring Singapore.
Jordan partnered with Mr. Koo and his company. At that time, Leatherworld's primary business was sofa wholesaling. Mr. Koo was responsible for sales, while Jordan focused on product development and production. Over time, Leatherworld expanded its activities by participating in local exhibitions and serving as a subcontractor for other companies.
Leatherworld Upholstery Sdn Bhd was officially incorporated and began shifting its focus toward export markets overseas. Since then the company had joined Furniture Association Membership and earned incentives to develop export market. Leatherworld also had obtained a manufacturing license certificate and exemption import duty (MIDA).
Leatherworld Upholstery Sdn Bhd has actively participated in various furniture exhibitions. These exhibitions served as a platform to showcase its craftsmanship, designs, and manufacturing capabilities
The company moved its manufacturing operations to a larger facility to cater the increasing demand and production support.
